Gatlinburg Dulcimer Hymnposium

A Weekend Dedicated To Learning Some Great Old Hymns and Gospel Tunes

May 15-16, 2020

Hosted by Elaine and Larry Conger, the event is dedicated to those great old hymn and gospel tunes many of us grew up singing.

The host hotel for the weekend will be the Black Bear Inn, located on the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, just 200 yards from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

The workshops will be geared toward the intermediate level mountain dulcimer player.  A general knowledge of chord-melody style, tab reading skills, rhythm skills and three finger chords will be useful.

All instructional materials (packaged as a full color souvenir tab book) and MP3 audio demos will be provided.  Refreshments will also be made available throughout the weekend.

Hotel reservations should be made separately by contacting the Black Bear Inn at 865-436-5656.  Be sure to mention Group Code 56740 to receive a special event rate on your room.
