Assessing Shortcomings To Improve Skills

Your home

REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS NOW CLOSED. Instead of learning to play a new tune, this workshop will focus on improving your skills as a player by addressing the various shortcomings you may have. We will discuss things such as the proper positioning of the instrument on the lap, left hand and right hand placement, finding your dulcimer's voice, knowledge of the fretboard, tab reading skills, memorization and practice habits. All of these things, applied properly to your playing, will greatly improve your skills as a player.

A printable study guide will be provided prior to the workshop and you will be encouraged to make notes during the presentation.

This class is beneficial to all skill levels. Beginners can avoid adopting bad habits by applying the suggestions discussed in the class while the more seasoned players will benefit from being reminded of things they may have forgotten or ignored.
